The Antigua and Barbuda CBI offers for applicants to make a defined economic contribution to the country through the National Development Fund (NDF), the University of the West Indies Fund (UWI) or a Government-approved real estate project. In exchange, and subject to a stringent due diligence process, applicants and their families can become citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, and obtain the country’s passport within three to six months. Requirements

National Development Fund (NDF) contribution: A minimum non-refundable contribution to the NDF starting from EUR 100,000 for a single applicant; or
2
Real Estate investment in one of the government approved properties starting from USD 200,000 with an investment holding period of 5 years; or
3
University of the West Indies (UWI) contribution: A minimum non-refundable contribution to the NDF starting from EUR 150,000 for a single applicant; and
4
Applicants must be free from criminal record, fraud, malpractice, financial fraud or indemnities and be in good health.
Process
The process takes apporximately 3 to 6 months from the day the citizenship application is submitted to the day the passport is issued. Each application is vetted by Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship-by-Investment Unit (CIU) through a strict due diligence background check. If the application is successful, the CIU issues a letter instructing the applicant to either make the contribution (for the NDF option) or complete the purchase of his or her real estate. Upon receiving proof of payment/investment, the CIU issues the certificate of registration, establishing that the applicant has received Antigua and Barbuda citizenship. There is a requirement to reside in Antigua and Barbuda for a minimum of five days during the first five years of obtaining citizenship.
