The Government of Montenegro has launched a new Citizenship-by-Investment Program which is in line with the Governments ongoing efforts to attract foreign direct investment. The Montenegro Citizenship-by-Investment Program requires applicants to make a defined investment in development projects in the country and an economic contribution to a special development fund. In exchange, and subject to a stringent vetting and due diligence process, including thorough background checks, applicants and their families can become citizens of Montenegro, and obtain the country’s passport.
