St Lucia

Citizenship-by-Investment Program

St Lucia is an independent Commonwealth country in the Lesser Antilles region of the Eastern Caribbean and covers 617 km2. It is one of the Windward Islands and more mountainous than most Caribbean islands, with the highest point being Mount Gimie at 950 m above sea level. The St Lucia CBI offers for applicants to make a defined economic contribution to the country through the National Economic Fund (NEF), or a Government-approved real estate investment. In exchange, and subject to a stringent due diligence process, applicants and their families can become citizens of St Lucia, and obtain the country’s passport within three to six months. Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda enjoy visa-free travel to 146 countries, including Europe’s Schengen Area, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and others.

Process

The process takes approximately 3 to 6 months from the day the citizenship application is submitted to the day the passport is issued. Each application is vetted by the St Lucia Citizenship-by-Investment Unit (CIU) through a strict due diligence background check. If the application is successful, the CIU issues a letter instructing the applicant to either make the contribution (for the NDF option) or complete the purchase of his or her real estate. Upon receiving proof of payment/investment, the CIU issues the certificate of registration, establishing that the applicant has received St Lucia citizenship.
